Anime fans, listen up! Actress Rashmika Mandanna has made history by becoming the first Indian to present an award at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
The Pushpa actress was tasked with presenting an award in a category that was just introduced this year, the Best Art Direction award. The exciting new award was presented to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc, one of the most popular anime series of the moment all over the world.
The 2024 Crunchyroll Anime awards had called on celebrities from Japan and all across the world to present individual awards, including Megan Thee Stallion, Bong Joon Ho, Iman Vellani, DeMarcus Lawrence, Yaeji, Joaquim Dos Santos (to name a few!)
Rashmika Mandanna looked stunning onstage in a custom, one-of-a-kind Alberta Ferretti gown. The actress kept her make-up minimal and added mild waves to her shoulder length lob.
Established in 2017, the Crunchyroll Anime Awards celebrate and honour the creators, musicians, and performances across the anime industry. The entries are vetted by a jury of experts in the field and fans themselves.
