ICYMI, we just witnessed 2024’s first celebrity wedding! Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta’s daughter Ira Khan just got married to her long-term partner Nupur Shikhare in a ceremony in Mumbai.
The groom, who is a celebrity fitness trainer, ditched the conventional baraat in favour of jogging 8 km to the venue with his friends.
Actor Aamir Khan could be spotted greeting the groom with a tight hug as he finally made it to the ceremony. The couple made a sight to behold, with the bride in her finery and the groom in an ensemble of a black vest and a pair of shorts.
Clips and photographs from the ceremony started surfacing on social media shortly after the couple signed their wedding documents and exchanged vows on stage.
After the ceremony, the couple posed with family and friends, including Ira’s siblings Junaid and Azad and Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Kiran Rao, for photographs.
What did Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare wear to their wedding?
The bride ditched the traditional sari or lehenga for the ceremony and wore a pink and blue ensemble of dhoti pants and cropped blouse. She paired her outfit with black kolhapuri chappals. Nupur changed out of his jogging gear and complemented the bride in a blue kurta set.
The pre-wedding festivities were hosted at Salman Khan’s residence and another ceremony will be, reportedly, hosted in Udaipur on January 5, 2024. This will be followed by a grand reception in Mumbai.
