K-pop supergroup BTS is gearing up to share their story, in their own words, through a book this July. The hugely successful group will release a book about their 10-year journey on their 10th anniversary.

For months, there has been speculation about an upcoming book about a successful musical act, with many suspecting that it was going to be Taylor Swift. However, it was confirmed on Thursday that it is the Korean group BTS that is going to have their story released soon.

The book, Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record Of BTS, will be written by journalist Myeongseok Kang and the members themselves. Published by BigHit Music in South Korea and Flatiron Books in the US, the book will be released on July 9, 2023. The date is super special for fans of the group because the fandom, popularly known as ARMYs, was founded on the date.

In 2022, BTS announced their hiatus from group activities and entered their second chapter where they focused on solo projects, while also collaborating on group activities like their variety show Run BTS. Some members, including RM, J-Hope, Suga, and Jimin, have already released their solo studio albums and have announced that they would be enlisting in the military as part of South Korea’s conscription policy.

The book will be translated by Anton Hur in collaboration with Clare Richards and Slin Jung.
