Yes, ‘Adipurush’ Will Be Premiered At Tribeca Film Festival

The world premiere of Om Raut’s highly-anticipated film Adipurush is set to take place at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival, according to the makers’ recent announcement. The film’s first teaser, which was released last year, received criticism from netizens for its questionable visual effects.

However, Raut assured fans that the Ramayana adaptation is a grand and ambitious project that will leave no room for complaints once it hits the big screen. With the film now set to debut at a prestigious festival, fans are eagerly waiting to see if it lives up to its hype.

Kriti Sanon, who is playing the role of Janaki, shared the fantastic news with her fans on Instagram. The actress wrote, “Beyond thrilled and proud that #Adipurush will have its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Festival on June 13, 2023 in New York! See you guys there.”

To mark the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the makers of the mythological movie had unveiled a new poster featuring Devdatta Nage in the role of Lord Hanuman, giving fans a sneak peek at Prabhas’ character in the upcoming film. Sharing the poster on social media, Sanon wrote, “Ram ke Bhakt aur Ramkatha ke praan...Jai Pavanputra Hanuman (a devotee of Ram and life of Ramkatha...Hail Lord Hanuman).”

Prior to this, a poster introducing Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Janaki and Sunny Singh as Shesh was released as well. The visuals featured the powerful message “Mantron se badhke tera naam Jai Shri Ram (Your name is greater than all chants. Hail Lord Ram),” adding to the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming film.

Speaking about the movie premiering at Tribeca, Raut said in a statement, “Adipurush is not a film, it is an emotion, a sentiment! It is our vision of a story that resonates with the very spirit of India. This very premiere at Tribeca Festival is truly surreal for me as well as the entire team as we get to showcase a story on a global stage that has been very ingrained in our culture. We are truly thrilled and excited to see the audiences‘ reaction at the world premiere.”

T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, the producer of the magnum opus, expressed his pride and excitement about its grand premiere and said, “It is indeed a moment of pride for all of us. The Tribeca Festival is one of the world’s most acclaimed platforms, and for our movie, which is not only a labour of love but a depiction of Indian History – to be showcased here is humbling, exciting, and overwhelming.” Kumar also expressed his confidence that their feature will captivate audiences around the globe, stating, “Adipurush is going to be a visual treat for all, and I am sure it will have a mesmerising effect on the global audience.”

Actor Prabhas added, “I am honoured that Adipurush will have its world Premiere at The Tribeca Festival, New York. It’s an absolute privilege to be a part of a project that mirrors the ethos of our nation. To see our Indian films, especially one that is so close to me, Adipurush, reach the global stage makes me extremely proud not only as an actor but as an Indian too.”
