Sonam Kapoor’s Comeback Film Looks Just As Badass As We Expected

After a three-year hiatus from acting, Sonam Kapoor is all set to make her much-awaited comeback with the upcoming film Blind. The actress, who recently became a mother to a baby boy named Vayu in August last year, shared the first look of the film on social media, creating a buzz among her fans and followers.

The first still from the film features Kapoor in a fierce avatar, holding a gun and engaging in what seems to be target practice. Dressed in an all-black outfit, with her hair neatly tied in a bun, she exudes confidence and determination.

In another image, Kapoor’s intense stare conveys a sense of anger towards someone or something, leaving viewers intrigued about her character in the film. The next still shows her looking shaken, with a body lying on the ground in the background, adding to the mystery and suspense of the storyline.

The director of Blind, Shome Makhija shared the stills on his Instagram handle and wrote, “A glimpse into the world of #BLIND.”

The Veere Di Wedding actress plays the lead role of a visually-impaired police officer on a mission to hunt down a serial killer. Joining Kapoor in the movie are talented actors Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey, adding depth and diversity to the cast. The film, set in Glasgow, Scotland, and other locations, promises to be a gripping thriller that keeps viewers at the edge of their seats.

Blind is a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name, known for its intense narrative and thrilling plot. With Kapoor at the helm, the Indian adaptation is expected to be a compelling watch that combines elements of suspense, action, and drama.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja exchanged vows in a conventional Anand Karaj ceremony in 2018. Last year, they gave birth to a boy named Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, after which the actress took a break from acting. Sonam and her son have since remained in India, while Anand moved into their London home.

Sonam made her Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2007 film Saawariya, also marking the debut of actor Ranbir Kapoor. The actress has starred in films like Neerja, Khoobsurat, The Zoya Factor, Raanjhanaa, Veere Di Wedding, and Padman. She was last seen in the Vikramaditya Motwane black comedy thriller, AK vs AK in 2020 in a small role. Sonam shared screen space with father Anil Kapoor in the film.
