Priyanka Chopra & John Cena Is The Dynamic Duo No One Expected

Ahead of the global debut of the AGBO spy series Citadel, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, known for her global success in both Bollywood and Hollywood, is teaming up with Amazon Studios once again for an upcoming film titled Heads Of State, alongside renowned actors John Cena and Idris Elba. Set to begin filming in May, this highly-anticipated project will be directed by Ilya Naishuller, acclaimed for his work on the action-packed film Nobody. The screenplay, crafted by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, with an initial draft by Harrison Query based on his original concept, is being closely guarded, keeping the plot details under wraps and adding to the intrigue. Described as a captivating blend of Air Force One and Midnight Run, the film promises to be a thrilling and entertaining cinematic experience.

Heads Of State boasts an impressive production team, with Peter Safran and John Rickard of the Safran Company serving as producers, and John Cena, Idris Elba, and Marcus Viscidi on board as executive producers.

Chopra Jonas is a multi-faceted talent and the recipient of numerous awards as an actor and producer with more than 60 international and Hollywood films to her credit. In February 2021, she became a New York Times bestselling author with her memoir Unfinished. She’ll be starring with Richard Madden in Prime Video’s Citadel, set to begin streaming on April 28.

The makers of the spy series also organised a premiere in Mumbai which was attended by Chopra Jonas and her co-star Richard Madden. Varun Dhawan, who will star in the Indian version of Citadel, was also spotted at the event with the director duo Raj and DK. Other celebs who were pictured at the event were Rekha, Sanya Malhotra, Nora Fatehi, Neha Dhupia and others.

The White Tiger actress also shared a video on her Instagram handle, offering a glimpse of the event. In the caption, she wrote, “Kicking off the incredible world tour of #Citadel in my home city. With all the good wishes from my home and my people, my heart is full.”
