Quick Style’s Most Iconic Dance Collabs With Indian Celebs

ICYMI, Norwegian all-men dance troupe Quick Style was recently on their maiden trip to India and they seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed the vacation. They delved into the popular local cuisine of Mumbai, rode on local trains and also collaborated with eminent Indian personalities including Suniel Shetty, Virat Kohli, Raveena Tandon, and not to forget their fun collab with Anil Kapoor from last year.

The Quick Style became an internet sensation after they performed on Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif’s hit song ‘Kaala Chashma’ at Suleman Malik’s wedding, who is one of the founders of the group. Their wedding performance trended on Reels last year and grabbed the world’s attention. Since the group’s reel went viral in June 2022, public figures like Demi Lovato, Jimmy Fallon and Shikhar Dhawan have all grooved to it, resulting in billions of plays.

The dance troupe was formed in 2006 as Quick Crew by two brothers from Pakistan, Bilal and Suleman Malik, along with Nasir Sirikhan in Oslo. Apart from the founding members, the crew includes Yasin Tatby, Rafael Guzman, William Gamborg, Oskar Vigren, Egil Mikael, David Leung, David Vu, Jan Erik Santos, Dilen De Zilva, Kunal and Bjorn. The group won Norske Talenter, a Norwegian version of America’s Got Talent in 2009, and also participated in NBC’s World of Dance.

Lately, Quick Style has been busy re-enacting some of Bollywood’s most famous song-and-dance routines featuring the OG stars. Since the internet can’t seem to get enough of the group’s iconic dance collaborations, here’s a recap of all the times they grooved with famous Indian celebrities.

Suniel Shetty

The dance troupe shared a video of their collab with Suniel Shetty, where the boys make a stylish entry while nodding their heads wearing black sunglasses, and then perform a dance routine to the popular song, ‘Aankhon Mein Base Ho Tum.’ Soon after, Suniel Shetty joins in, sporting a white shirt and similar black sunglasses. Sharing the video, the dance troupe captioned the post saying, “Felt like we have known him for years.”

Anil Kapoor

In the viral skit-style video, the lads are seen eyeing a ‘girl’ (playfully portrayed by a member of their group) as ‘she’ walks past them. Anil Kapoor makes an appearance and instructs the group to turn around, leading them in the opposite direction of the dancer. As the music of ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha’ plays in the background, the ‘woman’ can’t help but join in the fun and starts following the group. The video adds a fun twist to the song from Kapoor’s iconic movie 1942: A Love Story. “Always listen to the seasoned one,” read the caption.

Virat Kohli

A video of the group collaborating with cricket player Virat Kohli took over the internet a few days ago. In the now viral video, Kohli is seen taking hold of a cricket bat and initiating a dance step, that the rest of the group follows through with too. It’s obviously a wholesome pop-culture moment because not only is Mr. Virat Kohli dancing really well, but The Quick Style‘s collab with the cricket legend is one that we’ll always remember.

Raveena Tandon

When you hear the ‘Tip Tip’ tune, Raveena Tandon may be the only performer that comes to mind. Giving us another piece of history for the pop culture archives, Tandon joined the group to dance to the tune of an upbeat rendition of the timeless ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ song from her Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty-starring movie Mohra. In the video, the actress can be seen appearing from behind the dance group members as they begin to move to the rhythm of the infectious song. She is seen wearing blue denim and a black blouse. “Different when you do it with the originals,“ read the post’s description from Quick Style.
