India is a country of vibrant hues and art and Glenmorangie paid an ode to this with The Delicious Design Project. The luxury single malt whiskey from the house of Moët Hennessy India launched a first-of-its-kind series where art and music blend together to celebrate India’s technicolour essence.
The Delicious Design Project brought together Indian-American musician and ‘Wondermaker’ Karsh Kale and Studio Meobius artist Nikunj Patel to create a series of digital installations that combine art and music together.
Kale and Patel drew inspiration from three distinct moments that are synonymous with India and transformed them into immersive art experiences for visitors at the launch event in Mumbai back in December, 2022. The high-octane event turned the venue into a forest-like maze with lush foliage and bright oranges.
The ‘orangie’ led the guests through a multi-sensory experience to the showstopping event of the night, the art and music installation made by the two artists.
Kale, whose impressive credentials as an Indian classical tabla player, singer, songwriter, film and television score composer, and DJ, brilliantly added life to Patel’s art pieces through sound and music.
The artists tapped into three fantastical moments that capture India’s essence and titled these ‘Khuld’, ‘Raas’, and ‘Shararat’.
‘Khuld’ invited viewers to soak in the breathtaking beauty of valleys laden with bright flowers and pristine lakes. ‘Raas’ was all about the opulence of our past, presented through merriment and dance across palatial courtyards. The third element ‘Shararat’ celebrated urban party experiences through dancing skylines and giant giraffes.
Talking about teaming up with Glenmorangie for the digital art series, Kale said, “Working on The Delicious Design Project has been an outstanding experience. This is one of the first projects I have worked on where vibrant India is depicted as a whimsical wonderland. Right from its inception, our endeavor was to curate unparalleled experiences in the art, music and spirits space and we are excited to unleash the magic for all our consumers to indulge in.”
