Ever since Rihanna had announced that her first live performance after five years was going to be the Super Bowl Halftime Show, her fans (AKA most of the world) had a hard time controlling their excitement for her big comeback to the stage. Now that she’s delivered the performance, it’s safe to say that the expectations were met and how!

The Fenty Beauty mogul delivered an electrifying performance at one of the most iconic stages. In an interview, before the performance, Rihanna told Apple Music that she had “39 versions of the setlist” and didn’t feel super confident about her decision in the beginning. “I’m three months postpartum, like, should I be making major decisions like this now?’ Like, ‘I might regret this,’” she said. “But when you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world, you could do anything.”
Her set featured choreography from Parris Goebel, which we’ll probably be seeing recreated a million times through TikTok and Reels challenges, spectacular fireworks, a not-so-subtle Fenty Beauty product placement, and a pregnancy reveal.
Here are all the major highlights from her performance…
What songs did Rihanna perform at Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show?
Rihanna opened the show with one of her most iconic numbers ‘B*tch Better Have My Money’. She followed it up with dance hits like ‘Where Have You Been’, ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, and new arrangements of her songs ‘We Found Love’ and ‘Rude Boy’.

Unlike many Superbowl Halftime Show performers who preceded her, she did not bring out any surprise guest musician to perform with her and went solo for tracks which featured other artists, like ‘Work’, ‘Wild Thoughts’, ‘Run This Town’, and ‘Umbrella’. She closed the show with ‘Diamonds’ as fireworks appropriately exploded all around her.
What did Rihanna wear during her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance?

The singer looked amazing in a bespoke red Loewe jumpsuit, paired with a matching bodysuit and breastplate. She accessorised this with three vintage diamond brooches from Joseph Saidian and Sons. Rihanna also wore red MM6 Maison Margiela X Salomon sneakers. Halfway through the show, she pulled on a floor-length red puffer coat from Alaia with matching red gloves.
Did Rihanna really reveal that she’s pregnant during the Halftime Show performance?
During her performance, the singer rubbed her belly meaningfully and sent the Internet into a tizzy with frenzied speculations about her second pregnancy. While many, rightfully, admonished these speculators for taking away the focus from her performance to her postpartum body, Rihanna’s rep confirmed that the singer is, in fact, pregnant.
If Rih is pregnant, leave her be. If she not pregnant and she just didn’t want to meet your ludicrous snapback standards, leave her be.

Either way, let her live.
That was beautiful.
