If you’re a fan of Haruki Murakami’s works then we’ve got some exciting news for you. The Japanese author is going to publish a new novel in April. This will be his first novel since releasing Killing Commendatore in February 2017.

Murakami’s post-modern surrealistic works, like Kafka On The Shore and IQ84, have gained cult following across the world, with his fan club including renowned celebrities like BTS’ RM and Indian author and columnist Twinkle Khanna.

The author’s publisher Shinchosa released a statement that confirmed the news. The publisher revealed that the book would be released on April 13, 2023, in Japanese and translations of the work would follow. They did not share the release dates of the translated works. The publisher also stated that the novel’s Japanese manuscript will be 1,200 [ages long. Aside from this, no other details, like the title of the book or plot synopsis, have been revealed.

This is not surprising as the author likes to keep the plots of his novels closely guarded to allow his readers to discover them without any prior knowledge. The reclusive author is one of the most well-known writers in the world and has had his works translated into over 50 languages.
