HELLO! gives you the low-down on what’s making headlines in the world of luxury interiors and design.

SICIS LAUNCHES YOU GLASS IN INDIA

Renowned worldwide for its spectacular mosaic creations that epitomise superior craftsmanship, design and technology, Sicis has launched You Glass, a decorated glass U-profile, born from the need of architects and designers to bring design and customisation to the fore. By contrast to flat panels of glass and due to its ‘U’ shape, it has excellent load-bearing capacities and can be installed in very considerable lengths without the need for intermediate support. With wide colour ranges for both outdoor façades and interior furnishings, the range, available at Tessera India, is a breakthrough.

ESCAPE BY CREATOMY HAS A FRESH LINE OF MARBLE TABLES

Using a natural material like marble not only adds to the beauty of a space, but also character. In line with this thinking, Escape by Creatomy, known for their mindfully created, hand-crafted products with modern-day aesthetics and one-of-a-kind designs, has unveiled an exquisite range of marble tables. The edit is aimed at bringing to the fore traditional Indian marbles that are sturdy, beautiful and, yes, exquisite!

THE GREIGE WARP’S HOLIDAY EDIT SPELLS COMFORT

A retail venture of Handtex Industries, which has been in the home linen and furnishings space for over 40 years, The Greige Warp’s new collection draws inspiration from the most magical time of the year. Vibrant colours, warm textures and an unmissable snug vibe are just some of the key elements of this pretty holiday collection, which includes an assortment of cushions, rugs, throws, floor cushions, blankets and mats. Ethically handcrafted by skilled artisans, the collection is in sync with the brand’s core values of sustainability and kindness.

MADE FOR PEACE: THE SHANTI BENCH BY KUNAL MANIAR & ASSOCIATES

Designed by Kunal Maniar and Associates, the Shanti Bench gets the shards of the east sun and is a perfect spot for quiet family bonding, or to meditate and spend time in solace. Pristine white was chosen for the 21-foot-long white sculptural concrete monolith not just for its simplicity, but also to accentuate its form rather than its finish. The bench also resonates Lord Shiva’s trident for its subtle curves and strength.

THE PLATED PROJECT’S NEW RANGE IS ALL ABOUT COLOUR

Leading global lifestyle brand The Plated Project recently launched a limited-edition artistic home décor collection. ‘Past Present And Future’, the hand-painted series by the social innovation venture, which addresses the problem of hunger with its decorative plates, spotlights India’s dying art forms. The series features plates that celebrate Gond artwork, DIY canvases, Madhubani-art-inspired teatime products, Kalighat-inspired décor plates, bright and quirky functional coasters and much more, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of India.

HOUSE OF KNOTS, MANISH CHOKSI WEAVE MAGIC

Design powerhouse House of Knots has unveiled a capsule collection of three unique and bold rugs, in collaboration with luxury interior designer and architect Manish Choksi of Design Core Studio. Titled ‘The Asymmetric Project’, these are designed with the intent to reimagine shapes in designs that break convention. Silhouettes that are art for the floor are hand-tufted by craftsmen using fine wool. Choksi’s strong graphic and conceptual approach in these contemporary rugs fills the void between the intriguingly paradoxical concept of perfection and brilliant design.

VILLEROY & BOCH UNVEILS NEW AUDUN COLLECTION

Inspired by Villeroy & Boch’s roots that date back to 1748, in the village of Audun-le-Tiche, the brand’s latest collection, titled Auden, boasts its enchanting rural scenes on porcelain. Inspired by copper-engraved designs, the anthracite-coloured décor recounts rural life and contrasts the depictions of bygone times with a vibrant yellow. This is a relaunch of the original eponymous design from 1830, when copper engraving opened up a whole new range of possibilities in porcelain design.

THE QUARRY REDEFINES ‘SEASON OF LOVE’

For the first time in India — and perhaps the world — The Quarry has launched a collection of perfectly paired marble, granite and onyx called The Quarry Season Of Love. The collection has a variety of options to choose from, like the rare sodalite, which was perfected by mother nature over millions of years, to the exquisite Laas Authentico, a collection of the finest white marble hand-picked from the village of Laas in Italy. The charm and exclusivity of each of the paired two-of-a-kind natural stones, cut and polished, will leave you awestruck and spellbound.
