‘Luxury’ is for the discerning. It’s defined not just by a price tag but more so by exquisite taste and an eye for experiences that stand out. Nine fashion-forward, glamorous ladies share their most luxurious escapades and choices of the year with HELLO!
Ahead, Entrepreneur Sanya V Jain starts us off with what’s caught her eye.
Luxury to me is: “Something that’s comfortable. Otherwise it’s not a luxury!”
Most lavish holiday this year: “I didn’t travel as much through Covid, so this year, there were a lot of trips. My favourite destination that was super relaxed and much- needed was the Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives. I love everything about this island. My other favourite was a friend’s wedding in Puglia. It felt ‘normal’ again.”
Most luxurious fashion purchase: “Well, it’s definitely been about revenge shopping this year. I quite enjoyed the collection at L’eclaireur and Samaritaine, apart from the usual Rue Saint-Honoré when I visited Paris this summer.”
Splendid culinary experiences: “Chef David Toutain’s Michelin-starred restaurant at Rue Surcouf was a wonderful experience. They serve creative cuisine. I like to visit Caviar Kaspia every time I visit Paris. I’m excited that they opened in Dubai, too. The food is exquisite! I also quite enjoyed the cocktails at Los Mochis, and The Twenty Two in London was fun, too.”
Luxe bucket list addition: “The emerald green Nautilus is yummy!”
My favourite high-end labels: “That depends on the season. I’d say Loewe, Hermès, Chanel, and the Gucci x Adidas and Balenciaga x Adidas collabs are fun. Dior, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Loro Piana, Elie Saab, The Row, Prada, Miu Miu and Tom Ford are among other favourites.”
