How To Throw A Very Merry Christmas Brunch

Team HELLO!

While Christmas time is the most joyful time of the year, it can also prove to be super stressful if you’re planning your first (or twentieth) Christmas day brunch. HELLO! recently heralded the holiday season with the luxury shopping mall The Chanakya and celebrated with friends and a lot of delicious treats.

From delicious mulled wine to perfectly flaky mini apple pies, we spent a dazzling afternoon amidst burgeoning holiday cheer and classic Christmas tunes. So we figured we’ll share some of the best hacks we picked up at the HELLO!xThe Chanakya Christmas Celebration and share them with you just in time for the holiday!

Flower arrangements go a long way

Inject Christmas cheer to your decor to drive home the message that ‘tis, in fact, the season to be jolly! The amazing florists at Floristry - The Flower Atelier showed us how it’s done with their Christmas-inspired floral arrangements at the brunch. Goes without saying that you need to throw in some red, green and white into your arrangements.

What’s Christmas without mulled wine?

A boozy brunch is exactly what the doctor ordered for this year’s Christmas celebration! Whether it’s a hot toddy or mulled wine, no holiday brunch is complete without a classic Xmas drink. Our guests were kept happy and in full holiday spirits with delicious mulled wine from Fratelli Wines and a specially curated gin cocktail menu from Hendrick’s Gin.

Food coma is not optional

Christmas brunch immediately brings to mind the dining table groaning under the weight of delicious treats. A perfect Christmas brunch is one with scrumptious food that’s made from the heart and dessert galore. Take a cue from MKT, at The Chanakya, who left no stone unturned in making sure our guests’ stomachs (and hearts) were full of mouthwatering food, from assorted sushi and dim sums to cold cuts and even delicious turkey. But that wasn’t all, the guys at Food Hall served up hot chocolate, ginger bread, muffins and macarons that were the perfect sweet addition to the spread.

Plan some engaging activities for some extra cheer

At HELLO!xThe Chanakya Christmas Celebration, we had a little help from our friends at Tiffany & Co., Mont Blanc, Outhouse, Janavi, Ralph Lauren, The Collective Denims, and Ted Baker to curate special acitivies for our guests. From personalised charms and caricature to handwritten notes and tarot reading, there was something for everyone.

Show your guests you cherish them with thoughtful gifts

If you want your loved ones to leave with an indelible memory of the day, then make sure you have a little something to give away as a memento of your special brunch. At the HELLO!xTheChanakya Christmas Celebration, all the guests left with a beautiful hamper full of goodies. With vouchers from Noir Salon, Outhouse, PVR, Brooke & Carter, and MKT, and products from Soultree, Personal Touch Skincare, Savour & Aura, Typsy Beauty, London Essence and Meera Bhatia Healing Stones, the HELLO!xThe Chanakya hamper was a goodie bag for keeps.

Spend the day surrounded by loved ones

Last, but definitely not least, is making sure you have a blast with your friends and family. Christmas is all about spreading love and cheer and what better way to do that than spend the day with your loved ones?

So shake off the winter laziness and get to work. You’ve got a showstopping brunch to plan!
