Now that Google is revealing the most searched things of 2022, we’ve discovered several surprising facts, like how Paneer Pasanda was the most Googled recipe in the world and how Ali Sethi’s ‘Pasoori’ is the most searched song in the world.

Yes! The song that has made its way into our brain and has been living there rent free, thanks to the countless Instagram Reels and TikToks it has been used in, scored the top spot on the list of most Googled songs of 2022.

The Punjabi song even surpassed K-pop supergiant BTS’ ‘Butter’, which is at the second position, to reach the top. Pakistani singer Sethi released the song, featuring Shae Gill, as part of the 14th season of Coke Studio. The track quickly went viral and we can now see the hold it had on people since it released in February earlier this year.

Along with this South Asian track, two Indian songs have also found a place in the Top 10 on the list. Aditya A’s ‘Chand Baaliyan’ is at number three and ‘Srivalli’, the viral song from Telugu movie Pushpa: The Rise, is at number 10.

BTS’ other most popular English track ‘Dynamite’ is at number seven and Backstreet Boys’ ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ is on number nine.

We don’t know about you, but this list has made us want to refresh our Spotify playlists and revisit these tracks all over again!
