Art enthusiasts in India can lose themselves in the iconic paintings by Vincent Van Gogh as the immersive Van Gogh 360 Degrees experience is finally coming to the country.

After mesmerising audiences in the United States of America, Canada, and across Europe, the futuristic exhibition is making its way to Mumbai. Festival House Inc, the company behind the exhibition, has announced that Van Gogh fanatics can experience his art like never before in this multimedia rendition of some of his most iconic works.

The Dutch artist is known as one of the most prominent names from the Post-Impressionism movement. Van Gogh transformed the pain of his tortured existence into ecstatic beauty on canvas and has continued to inspire artists with his evocative use of colour and lines.

The exhibition features Van Gogh paintings as large, floor-to-ceiling projections that will allow the viewers to experience his paintings in a three-dimensional format, giving them an opportunity to focus on the exquisite details of his artworks.

Renowned DJ and TV personality Nikhil Chinapa, who is the face of the company in the country, said in an interview, “Vincent van Gogh’s art is one of the most famous in the world, with The Starry Night right up there with Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Edward Munch’s Scream. It is very recognisable and distinctive, and most importantly in the public domain.”

He added, “There has been a keen interest in demystifying the man behind this art with movies like Loving Vincent in recent years, and immersive exhibits are a great first step for falling in love with art. I am hopeful that the younger generation and especially our children are inspired by what they see.”

While the venue hasn’t been confirmed yet, the exhibition will be held in Mumbai from January 20th to February 10th, 2023. You can register for the pre-sale of the exhibition tickets right here.
