Ishaan Khatter is probably one of the most vibrant actors in the newer generation that’s currently dominating the Indian film industry. With a bag full of films that are so unique, the limit to his unbound talent is unmatched. After making his debut in Beyond The Clouds in 2018, the actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming horror-comedy film, Phone Bhoot, where he stars alongside Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi. He is also currently getting ready for Pippa, a war film based on the real life of Brigadier Balram Singh.

Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005)

Before he made his main debut in the 2018 film, Beyond The Clouds, a young Khatter was a part of his brother, Shahid Kapoor’s 2005 film, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! The movie follows a young, ambitious man, Aditya, who is very close to his family and has taken on the responsibility of taking care of them. But, one day, while trying to protect his nephew, Aditya gets hit by a truck and dies. In an entertaining twist though, Yamraj allows him to return to the human world and complete his unfinished wishes. While Khatter plays a small role, he lights up the screen with his goofiness and charm.

Beyond The Clouds (2018)

Khatter made his major debut in Majid Majidi’s 2018 film, Beyond The Clouds, that revolves around a young, carefree man named Amir, who due to financial difficulties finds himself entwined in illegal acitivies. Amir always finds an escape from the police but, one day, the police finds out about his drug dealings and things start to look grim for Amir. A gripping movie, this is a definite watch.

Dhadak (2018)

Ishaan Khatter’s second film, Dhadak was one of the most highly-anticipated films of 2018. Starring alongside Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut in this Dharma film, Dhadak is the Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Marathi blockbuster film, Sairat. The movie follows Madhu and Parthavi, who fall in love despite their drastically different social statuses. But when their family opposes their union, the young couple run away, get married and find solace in a completely different city. Soon, they realise that a marriage is more than just being in love, especially when they settle into their real life.

A Suitable Boy (2020)

Khatter’s first-ever OTT series, Netflix’s A Suitable Boy is an adaptation of the 1993 novel by Vikram Seth. The series is set in the year 1951 in a newly independent India, where Lata, a passionate literary student is stuck between fulfilling her mom’s wishes of marrying a suitable boy and finding true love. Parallelly, Maan, who is a politician’s son, falls in love with an older woman, knowing that it will tear his family and life apart.

Kaali Peeli (2020)

Starring alongside, Ananya Panday, Kaali Peeli follows two childhood sweethearts, Pooja and Blackie who get separated and lose touch due to some unavoidable circumstances. Many years later, the two bump into each other, during a time where everything in their life seems to be a colossal mess. As Pooja escapes from a brothel where she is forced to work against her will, she runs into Blackie, who takes pride in driving his taxi. Soon, they find themselves tangled in dangerous business that sets them on the adventure of a lifetime.
