This is not a drill: Rihanna is coming out with new music! The ‘Diamond’ singer, who has been on a musical sabbatical, is back in the studio for her brand new song, ‘Lift Me Up’, which is a part of Black Panther’s upcoming sequel, Wakanda Forever. The song will be released this Friday on all music streaming platforms and we couldn’t be more excited.

After her 2016 album, Anti, the singer shifted her focus to her beauty brand, Fenty Beauty and her lingerie brand, Savage x Fenty which have both been huge successes in the beauty and fashion industries respectively. Riri’s fans stormed Twitter to share their excitement and happiness to finally be blessed with a new Rihanna track after almost 7 years. And as is with Twitter, within seconds, #RihannaIsBack started trending worldwide.

In September, it was confirmed that the ‘Umbrella’ singer is all set to take on the 2023 Super Bowl stage, which got fans speculating that RiRi will be dropping some new music before her performance. And, now that dream is becoming a reality.
If you weren’t already looking forward to Wakanda Forever (the trailer is amazing!), then consider this an incentive and mark your calendars!
