Who wouldn’t love to float down a lazy river while drinking a glass of wine after a long day at work? Adele is bringing to life our ultimate weekend mood in her new ‘I Drink Wine’ music video from her last album, 30. After 10 months since the release of ‘Oh My God’ and a year since ‘Easy On Me’, the ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer finally released her latest video that is nothing short of a visual treat.

In the video, Adele can be seen looking like an absolute dream in a floor-length golden sequined gown by Valentino as she sits on a tube and floats down a lazy river with a glass of rosé in her hand. Directed by Joe Talbot, the video also has a special cameo by Kendrick Sampson who plays the role of Adele’s love interest. Unlike what you may think, ‘I Drink Wine’ is actually about the singer’s fear of growing older and facing adulthood. And how better to communicate that than with a video where she’s drinking wine on a tube while she’s surrounded by synchronized swimmers?

Here comes the cute part: Adele premiered the music video to a small group of her biggest fans in an exclusive event, ‘Happy Hour with Adele’ in West Hollywood. She interacted with her fans, answered questions about her work and life, and even talked about her highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency at the iconic Caesars Palace beginning next month. The residency was initially supposed to begin early this year but due to pandemic-related delays and other issues, the singer had to delay it.
