Janhvi Kapoor fans are in for a treat with the trailer of her latest thriller movie Mili dropping just a few hours after the first look posters were unveiled. The Boney Kapoor-produced film, which is inspired by real-life events, will follow the life of Mili Naudiyal, a B.Sc. Nursing Graduate who gets trapped inside a freezer and oscillates between life and death.
The Good Luck Jerry actress took to Instagram to debut the bone-chilling visuals of the film. While counting down to the teaser release, Kapoor shared three posters, the first of which showed her flashing a smile at the camera with a backpack on her shoulders—sporting a slicked-back ponytail, a bare face and a plain green T-shirt. She wrote in the caption, “In 1 hour her life is going to change.”
The second poster is drastically different from the first, and includes Kapoor’s Mili with disheveled hair and a bright red face, half freezing to death with terror in her eyes. The tagline on the poster read, “Frozen but not shaken.”
The teaser of the survival-thriller movie begins with Kapoor frantically stuck inside a freezer, banging the door, rubbing her palms together and desperately trying to seek help and escape using the tools available inside the unit. Unable to get out, she looks like she’s fighting for every breath, while a creepy and ominous background score keeps us on the edge of our seats. In one of the still frames, we also catch a fleeting glimpse of Sunny Kaushal who appears to be in search of something. Is it Mili? Or is he part of something sinister?
Kapoor posted another frightening poster containing her face in different stages of the accident, deteriorating gradually. In the last frame of the picture, her face looks completely frozen and wounded, with no hope left in her eyes. The caption read, “Experience her fight for courage, with every hour that passes, every degree that drops - ONLY IN THEATRES ON THE 4TH OF NOVEMBER ❄️#Mili4thNov #Mili.”
Mili is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Helen, also directed by Mathukutty Xavier. The smash hit movie was even remade in Tamil and titled Anbirkinyal. This also marks Kapoor’s first movie with father Boney Kapoor, and we can’t wait for the father-daughter duo’s magic to translate on screen. Mili will be released on November 4.
On the work front, the gorgeous actress has highly-awaited movies including Dostana 2 and Bawaal (opposite Varun Dhawan) lined up. She will also be seen in Mr and Mrs Mahi alongside her Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao.
