Margot Robbie’s portrayal of Harley Quinn has received so much love from this generation and it’s truly iconic. Now, with the strong rumours of Lady Gaga taking over from Robbie and getting ready to play the role of Harley Quinn, the Birds Of Prey star couldn’t be happier.
Gaga is supposedly starring alongside Joaquin Phoenix in Joker: Folie à Deux, which is said to be a musical. Fans are already excited to see Gaga sporting blonde pigtails and a whole lot of attitude, just like Quinn. Recently during an interview, Margot Robbie shared how happy she is to have Lady Gaga as her successor. “It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning, all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way like Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor,” Robbie shared. “It’s such an honour to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing. And I think she’ll do something incredible with it,” she added.
The DC Comics film also includes Catherine Keener, Zazie Beetz, and Brendan Gleeson. Directed by Todd Phillips, the Joker sequel is set to release on October 4, 2024.
