Since then, the actor-singer has taken the fans and the big screen by storm with his unique and fun films that leave the audience wanting more. Now, Khurrana is gearing up for the release of his new film, Doctor G, where he takes on the role of a male gynaecologist in a world where this job is normally taken on by a woman. Unsurprisingly, the upcoming film has already been trending, thanks to the recent trailer drop, and has fans eagerly waiting for its release.

Badhai Ho (2018)

A fun, family watch that ends on a wholesome note, Badhai Ho is a movie that has a special place in our hearts. Starring Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Sanya Malhotra, the movie focuses on Nakul, a 25-year-old man who has been living his best life with his girlfriend, Renee. But things start going south when he realises that his mother is pregnant. As he struggles to come to terms with the news of the bundle of joy coming into his house, Nakul starts reevaluating his life and relationship with his family.

The two parts of the Shubh Mangal series are so different from each other but still so unique. The first one, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan starring Khurrana and his Dum Laga Ke Haisha co-star Bhumi Pednekar focuses on a young couple, Mudit and Sugandha, who are madly in love and are preparing to get married. Their relationship finds a bump on the road when they discover that Mudit suffers from erectile dysfunction. While the quirky comedy does make you squirm, it also almost makes your tummy hurt with all the laughter.

The second film of the Shubh Mangal series, Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan revolves around two young men, Kartik and Aman, who fall in love even though they know that their love will be tested in society. When the couple decides to get married, they face opposition from Aman’s family, they fight to win them over. This movie is fun and helps bring light to the stigma that people from the LGBTQ+ community face daily.

Starring alongside Vaani Kapoor, Khurrana gave the audience a performance to remember. The movie revolves around a gym instructor- bodybuilder, Manu, who falls in love with the new Zumba instructor at his gym, Maanvi. When things start going perfectly for the couple, Maanvi shares that she is a transwoman. As Manu tries to process this whole new revelation, his orthodox family finds out and their relationship takes a bitter turn.
