It’s time to get ready because our lord and saviour, Taylor Swift, announced that she’s going to bless us with a brand new album in October.

As the singer accepted her first ever award as a solo director for her song, ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)’, she made history by not only becoming the first artist to win Video of the Year three times, but also by being the first ever artist to win this award without a collaborating director.

The ‘Shake It Off’ singer also won the Best Longform Video award for the same song earlier in the evening. At the end of her acceptance speech, Swift took everyone by surprise by sharing the news of her new album, Midnights.

Lucky for us, Swift took to Instagram to share that her new album, which will have 13 songs (also her special number), will take her fans on a journey through the “sleepless nights” that she had in her life. “This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching - hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves,” Swift shared on her post.

Midnights will be releasing on October 21, 2022, and is now ready for pre-ordering. So Swifties, are you ready?
