The Texas State University’s Honors College is offering a course on the singer for its Spring semester of 2023. The class, ‘Harry Styles And The Cult Of Celebrity: Identity, the Internet, and European Pop Culture’ will talk all about the singer’s career and how he brought in a much-needed change in the music industry, especially when it comes to sexuality, fashion, and politics.

The course will be taught by Louie Dean Valencia, an associate professor of digital history at Texas State University. A major Harry Styles fan himself, Valencia took to Twitter to share the major news, which soon spread like wildfire. Recently, in an interview, he explained why he wanted to come up with this course, “As a historian, I want the class to really see how the world has changed in the last 12 years or so, but also how to put that into historical context, through the lens of Harry Styles, and how they can learn from him and his art, activism, and philosophy, like any great artist.”

On TikTok, Valencia clarified that the course will not dive into Style’s personal life and will instead be focusing on his artistry and the pop culture phenomenon he has created.

So, is anyone else signing up?
