The matchmaking queen, Sima Taparia, is back with season two of Indian Matchmaking. The Netflix show took over the world almost immediately after its release, getting overwhelming responses from people across the globe. And, considering the success of the first instalment, the Mumbai-based matchmaker is now returning for season 2 with some old, and some new, clients to help them find their perfect match.
In the hour-long episodes, we can see Sima Aunty meeting her new millennial clients and exploring their long list of expectations. According to Netflix, “This season, Sima will manage more expectations than ever before from clients, old and new—with wishlists ranging from man-buns to an ‘ovo-lacto-semi-vegetarian’ diet to a shared love of Taco Bell. Drawing from her decades of experience, insightful intuition, and traditional methods, Sima strives to help some lucky singles find their destinies!”
While we do see our season one favourites, Aparna Shewakramani and Nadia Jagessar coming back to the show, we are excited to see some more new faces and, hopefully, at least one of them can find their one true match.
Created and produced by Academy Award-nominee, Smriti Mundhra, Indian Matchmaking season two will be released on Netflix on August 10 with eight new episodes.
