Our favourite supernatural series is getting the spinoff that it truly deserves. The creators of the hit Netflix seriesStranger Things have teased the fans with the news of a spin-off that is nothing like you would expect.
Talking to Variety, Matt Duffer, one-half of the iconic Duffer Brothers duo, said, “The reason we haven’t done anything is just because you don’t want to be doing it for the wrong reasons, and it was just like, ‘Is this something I would want to make regardless of it being related to Stranger Things or not?’. Even if we took the Stranger Things title off of it, I’m so, so excited about it. But it is not… It’s going to be different than what anyone is expecting, including Netflix.”
While it is hard to guess in which direction the writer-director duo will lead the spin-off to, one cast member took the Duffer brothers by surprise when he guessed the plot correctly.
Finn Wolfhard, who plays the role of Mike, is said to have suggested an idea that would be a “cool spin-off”, shocking the creators. But to the fans, this is the least shocking as we can always see Mike being ahead of the other side and saving the world along with friends every time.
