We just got the first look of our favourite plastic boy, Ken from Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated film, Barbie and it is even better than what we had imagined. Ryan Gosling portrays the role as our favourite Ken doll to absolute perfection (the resemblance is uncanny isn’t it?).

In the first look shared by Warner Bros. Pictures, Gosling can be seen in true Malibu fashion: bright orange tan and the perfect eight-pack abs in his sleeveless denim vest and ‘Ken’ embedded underpants as he stands by the bright pink dreamhouse. The La La Land actor’s partner, Eva Mendes took to Instagram to share a look, captioning “So.F.Funny.So.F.Good.So F excited for you to see this…#Thatsmyken”, making us all swoon. Earlier this year, they released the first look of Margot Robbie as Barbie, as she sat in her iconic pink convertible, which obviously took social media by storm.

While not many details have been shared, we do know that the film will be releasing next year on July 21, 2023, and has a stellar star cast that includes, Will Ferell, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, and Michael Cera.

And while the wait to watch this film is definitely long, it does give us a good amount of time to rewatch every film and show from the ‘Barbieverse’.
