Korean supergroup BTS’ much-anticipated comeback album Proof is here and it is everything we wanted and more!

After many teasers and hints, the music video for the lead single ‘Yet To Come (Most Beautiful Moment)’ released earlier today and racked up over 10 million views within a couple of hours on YouTube. The song is an alternative hip-hop track where the seven members reminisce about their extraordinary journey and the path they have made to the point where they’re referred to as the ‘best’. The music video complements the theme and has the members revisit some of the most memorable moments from their past music videos, like ‘Blood Sweat and Tears’, ‘Spring Day’, ‘Just One Day’, ‘No More Dream’, and more.

“I feel thrilled every time we release new music for the first time. I hope many people will enjoy the album. Proof is a special album that closes the first chapter of BTS before going into our 10th year. We especially paid more attention to the lyrics as our message to our fans, ARMY who have been with us for nine years, is the key to this album,” said the band’s leader RM. His fellow rap line member J-Hope said, “I’m happy and excited that we are finally releasing a new album after a long time. I just want to enjoy the album with our ARMY. Proof is a chronicle of BTS and ARMY, and it is a special album as it contains all our memories together. It is the soul of BTS, so I hope many people like it!”

The anthology album comes with 48 tracks, spread across three CDs. Along with ‘Yet To Come’, there’s ‘Run BTS’ and ‘For Youth’. The former is a powerful hip-hop track that pays homage to the boys’ roots and talks about them growing up together. ‘For Youth’ is dedicated to the ARMYs as a form of gratitude for giving the members the most brilliant youth.

Aside from three brand new tracks, the rest of the album is a nostalgic trip down memory lane for both the members and the ARMYS. These feature some of their greatest hits, personally selected by each member, and some unreleased versions of fan favourite songs. “Proof walks through BTS’ history, so it reminds me of nine-years of memories. This will be one of those albums I listen to a lot,” said Kim Seokjin,“It will be fun to listen to the unreleased tracks.” Kim Taehyung, or V, added to this, saying, “As the album represents our past nine years, this is a gift for our fans who have been supporting us and creating our history together.”

Min Yoongi, or Suga, said the order of the tracks in the albums is very important and advises that you should listen to it that way, ““We carefully finalized the order of the tracks as the album speaks of BTS’ history. My suggestion would be to listen to the album in the order. We are honored to capture our nine-year journey in this album. Listening to the album will trace you back in memory and the paths BTS have walked.”

Jimin expressed how strange and excited he particularly feels at this album’s release, “Proof holds a special place in our hearts as it includes the past lead singles and previously unreleased tracks. While creating this album, we spent meaningful times together looking after one another and deeply connecting with one another.”

The band’s youngest member Jeon Jungkook likened making this album to writing a book, “As always, we gave a lot of thought into every detail of this album while working on it. It is a reflection of the time we spent together as BTS and the emotions we felt throughout our nine-year journey.”

The album released just ahead of the band’s ninth anniversary and fans all over the world are excited to see what the members have in store for them.
