Elvis Presley is a musical icon that lives on forever. The King of Rock ’n‘ Roll, had a life full of highs and lows, one that’s being perfectly portrayed in the upcoming biopic, ELVIS. Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the musical directorial genius, the film is one of the most anticipated movies in Hollywood.

Stepping into the legendary singer’s shoes, Austin Butler delivers his portrayal of Presley in the most outstanding way possible. It is safe to say that nobody else could have played the role of Elvis Presley better than Butler.

With the drop of the second trailer, we now know that the movie revolves around the complicated relationship between Elvis Presley and his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Played by the iconic Tom Hanks, Parker is known to have had an influential role in the rise of Presley’s stardom but things start going south when the cultural change in America threatens to end Elvis’s career. The movie will also throw light on one of the most significant presences in the icon’s life, including his wife, Priscilla Presley.

The King of Rock ’n‘ Roll’s movie will be incomplete without a one-of-a-kind soundtrack and Luhrmann has made sure that this movie will stand out with its musical appearances. Taking the modern yet old-school approach, musical stars like Eminem, Doja Cat, Tame Impala, Jack White, Kacey Musgraves, Stevie Nicks, and Jazmine Sullivan will be a part of the film’s album. At the Met Gala red carpet Musgraves shared that she will be singing the iconic love song, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ for the film. Doja Cat’s ‘Vegas’ has already been released as the album’s first single and is already a major hit among fans.

The movie was screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 and is set for its theatrical release on June 22, 2022.
