Marvel is finally introducing She-Hulk to the MCU with the upcoming TV series She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. The trailer for the nine-episode series dropped recently, giving us a glimpse at actress Tatiana Maslany playing Jennifer Walters AKA She-Hulk.

The trailer shows the Orphan Black actress going through a transformation into the titular superhero, assisted by her cousin and everyone’s favourite angry green Avenger Bruce Banner. In the comics, Walters is a victim of attempted murder, leading Banner to give her his blood to save her life. While it’s not clear whether or not the makers will stick to this origin story or not, we’re getting to see Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner once again after Avengers: Endgame (2019).

The show will follow her journey in figuring out her new identity as a superhero and potential Avenger, while also managing her demanding job as a lawyer representing cases of the superhero variety.

The trailer also revealed that Tim Roth’s Abomination, who was last seen in The Incredible Hulk (2008) is returning as one of the MCU’s formidable villains. Roth had also appeared in a cameo in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This also means that Benedict Wong, last seen as Wong in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will also return onscreen with the series, a fact confirmed by the Studio.

Aside from Maslany, Jameela Jamil is also starring in the series as Titania, one of She-Hulk’s opponents, and there’s also a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance by the Frog-Man. Former WWE wrestler David Otunga also makes a cameo as one of Walter’s many dates.

Aside from comments calling out the wonky CGI, the trailer has been met with largely positive reviews, with people being excited to see a more regular side of the MCU, without unscheduled space flights and parallel universes. The comedy series has been directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law will be available for streaming on August 17, 2022.
