But it was team India’s double’s coach, Mathia Boa who had the loudest and the prettiest supporter. Taapsee Pannu, who happens to be the former Danish badminton player’s girlfriend, took to social media to congratulate the team, along with a sweet message for Boa. The Thappad star was supportive throughout the tournament and cheered for team India by often sharing their victory updates on social media. When India won the finals, the actor shared a short video of the winning moment captioned, “The boys did it. First-ever Thomas Cup for India” followed by a picture of a player hugging Mathias and writing, “Mr Coach you made us proud.”

The couple first met when the actor went to watch one of his games many years ago. The two connected over Twitter became friends very fast and soon fell in love.
