A few weeks ago, Thor: Love And Thunder created a big storm among fans with its trailer release. The upcoming film, directed by Taika Waititi, who previously directed Thor: Ragnarok, shows us what happened to the mightiest Avenger after finally defeating Thanos. But the highlight of the trailer had to be the appearance of ‘Lady Thor’ a.k.a the god of thunder’s ex-girlfriend. Let’s be honest, breakups can be hard, but meeting your ex unexpectedly in a completely different galactic universe can be even harder. Natalie Portman, who was last seen in Thor: The Dark World, will be back in her character as Jane Foster, but this time, she isn’t just going to be sitting on the sidelines.

In an interview with Empire magazine, Taika opened up about bringing the Black Swan star back to the superhero franchise. He spoke about how he was working on the story and had a sudden thought about how “it would be kind of cool to bring Jane back into the storyline”. The filmmaker said, “You don’t want Natalie coming back and playing that same character who’s walking around with science equipment. You know, while Thor’s flying around, she’s left on Earth, tapping her foot going, ‘When’s he going to come back?’ That’s boring. You want her to be part of the adventure.”

It is safe to say that we can expect some brilliant duo action as well as the possibility of seeing our favourite on-screen couple rekindle their love.
