R-Pattz fans, rejoice! The Twilight actor is reprising his role as the Caped Crusader of Gotham in The Batman’s upcoming sequel, says director Matt Reeves.

Despite reservations about his casting, Pattinson proved to the world that he is the perfect choice to play the role of Batman in the new movies with his performance that was far from disappointing.

So when fans began to question whether or not the actor would return to play the role that comes with a huge legacy, there was no answer for a while until Reeves confirmed that Pattinson would, in fact, play Batman again in the Warner Bros. Cinema Con presentation.

While that is all the information we have for the sequel to The Batman, it’s safe to assume that Collin Farrell as the Penguin would also be returning, based on reports that the character is getting its own spinoff on HBO. Based on fan’s reaction to Zoe Kravitz’ Catwoman, we can only hope the makers include her in the sequel as well.

A deleted scene from The Batman also gave fans a glimpse of the Joker, played by Barry Keoghan, at Arkham. So it is possible that the sequel would see Batman facing off against Joker.

Reeves also confirmed that further information about the movie would only be available by 2023 so all we can do is sit tight and experience a Twilight renaissance to see Pattinson play a handsome bat again.
