Are you ready to feel poor and boring with your non-designer wear self who has zero drama going on vis-a-vis your friend group? If not, then you better prepare yourself because Netflix’s reality show Bling Empire is coming back very soon.
The unscripted reality series promises to have “even more luxury, glamour, and crazy” according to the official statement from the streaming platform. The show, which premiered in January 2021, followed the lives of wealthy Asian-American socialites in LA as they navigate friendships, love, and so many parties.
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming second season of Bling Empire so far…
Who is in it?
Kevin Kreider, Kim Lee, Kelly Mi Li, Cherie Chan, Jessey Lee, Kane Lim, Christine Chiu, and Anna Shay are returning for the new season. There are two new additions with TV personality Dorothy Wang and philanthropist Mimi Morris joining the cast.
What is it going to be about?
It’s obviously going to follow the same format as the first season where we followed along the adventures and daily lives of these rich folks around the world. The official description suggests that friendships and romance will be put to test in the new season. It also promises that Chiu and Shay will still be at odds with each other, in case you were worried about the drama quotient of the show. Cast member Mi Li had announced her split with long-term boyfriend Andrew Gray post the show. Their problematic relationship was one of the main storylines of the first season, so the break-up could feature as one of the sub-plots in this one.
When can we see the new show?
The eight-episode long series will premiere on May 13, 2022.
