Having a sweet tooth and an obsessive love for snacks can be hard, especially if you’re trying to cut down on sugar. But thankfully, Tik-Tok and Instagram have blessed us with delicious recipes every week, and we just found the perfect snack to munch on whenever the cravings hit.
Bringing together the best of both worlds, crunchy chocolate and peanut butter rice cakes by Monique Volz (@ambitiouskitchen) are super easy to make even if you need a dose of sweetness at the oddest hour of the day.
Here is how you can make this recipe with just three ingredients.
- Rice Cakes
- Peanut Butter
- Dark Chocolate
- Sea Salt (Optional)
Step 1: First, melt one cup of dark chocolate in a wide bowl in the microwave and set it aside for a bit. Make sure that there are no chunks of chocolate remaining.
Step 2: Now, take a rice cake and spread a generous amount of peanut butter on it.
Step 3: Once you have added the peanut butter, take the rice cake and dunk the side with the peanut butter into the bowl with melted chocolate. You can also spread the chocolate onto the rice cake with a spoon.
Pro Tip: To bring in some more flavour, top the chocolate and peanut butter rice cakes off with a pinch of sea salt.
Step 4: Finally, place the rice cakes in the freezer and leave them there for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate solidifies. Once it’s ready, take a bite and enjoy!
