Bold and experimental in her style choices, her fashion game is always on point. The co-founder of Outhouse jewellery shares her favourites in luxury and essential pointers just in time for year-end bashes.

Luxury to me is: “Exclusive. It expands to experiencing different cultures and cities through travel. Lately, I’ve been largely inclined towards wellness travel.”

Holidays this year: “My best holiday destination this year was South Italy for the summer. I’m headed to Crans-Montana in Switzerland for Christmastime.”

A recent indulgence: “I splurged on a pair of limited-edition Offwhite athleisure heels.”

A memorable culinary experience: “A luxury culinary experience that never fails to impress me is the regional wine and food of Vico Equense and Palermo in Italy.”

Bucket list addition: “Japan was a recent addition to my bucket list for the varied culinary and spiritual textures the country has to offer.”

Favourite labels: “My all-time favourite brands are Balenciaga and Khaite.”

Favourite luxurista: “Without a doubt, it’s Kelly Wearstler.”

Three tips to ace the luxe party look:1. You should up your game with the perfect accessories, even if you opt for a simple outfit and can’t ditch your basics. A few accessories or one statement piece add the perfect glam touch to any look; 2. Always do your hair, and if undone, tie it up in a knot or a pony for a clean and slick look. From top knots to high ponytails, the right hairdo is the best way to complement any look; 3. Always step out ‘well heeled’. Keep your footwear in check, and make sure they match your fit. If you opt for neutrals, let your footwear do the talking, with colour pops, metallic heels, boots or tie-ups, and if you’re going over the top with your outfit, let your footwear be the cherry on the cake. Keep it monotone, colour block, or just play safe with blacks, whites and nudes.”

Three tips to buy bespoke luxury pieces:1. A brand with a story and intricacy of craftsmanship; 2. Buying from regional designers and craft allows you to branch out and understand the depth of the culture and regional craft better; 3. Buying a one-of-a-kind piece over too many pieces. It’s always better to collect items that are rare. They are invaluable, and it always accounts for more than hoarding regular ones.”

Three must-haves in a woman’s closet:1. Slick black heels never fail you and can transform any look and take it from drab to fab; 2. A statement choker can pull the whole look together. 3. A bag is a girl’s best friend, and when it’s a classic maxi tote, you can fit all your essentials in it and still look well put together.”

Statement pieces that take your outfit from AM to PM: “Statement rings, signature pendants and a moon- shaped handbag. A simple outfit can be transformed into a full-blown glam fit when accessorised the right way. Over- the-top neckpieces, chunky rings and an iconic bag add the finishing touch!”

My style icons: “Kelly Wearstler and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. They have a very bold sense of style. But what I love most about them is that they highlight a sense of their being in what they wear.”

My personal style: “Eclectic, bold, experimental and audacious. I like to make a statement when I head out, and I don’t mind stepping out of my comfort zone a few odd times.”

The most stylish or luxurious item in your wardrobe: “The Outhouse Pico Minaudière Couture Bag, a custom-made Shivan & Narresh Dita Von Tease Edition black saree, and a custom-made short Pink Panther dress by Gaurav Gupta.”

Best winter buys: “A classic Moncler jacket, moon boots for the mountains and Sergio Rossi ankle boots.”
