Style to me is: Individuality and confidence. You have to feel fully empowered in who you are to be truly stylish.

On being HELLO!’s Most Stylish Film-maker: It’s always a pleasure to be featured in the magazine. HELLO! and I go way back!

My personal style: Eclectic, adventurous, fluid, expressive and comfortable. It’s an amalgamation of all the things I’ve seen, lived through and experienced, combined very potently with who I innately am.

Being stylish VS being fashionable: One is stylish when they are their own person, living in the realms of their authenticity. The fashionable ones love and follow trends. I validate both.

Luxury to me is: Comfort, attention to detail and exquisiteness. These are the epitome of luxury.

My style icons: It’s a long list I can narrow down to Karl Lagerfeld, Lenny Kravitz, Tilda Swinton, Rihanna and Grace Jones.

Favourite designers: The list is endless!

Style motto: Flaunt it!

The most stylish item I own: My hand-painted lemon Chinoiserie wallpaper because it’s made by local artisans. You feel the purity in their work.

Three enduring elements of style: Jeans, boots and jewellery. They are fashion perennials!

Three fashionable items a man must own: Again, jeans, boots and jewellery! They make you feel good no matter what, and fashion, first and foremost, has to be about feeling good before looking good.

Current fashion obsession: Anything Rick Owens, every season, every year!

I’m happiest wearing: A thin, cotton black T-shirt, intensely embroidered Maharishi pants, and Jordan Dunk Highs. Comfort clothes forever!

Items I overuse: My collection of Yeezys, the most comfortable sneakers. I can’t stop wearing them!

An overrated trend: No trend is ever overrated if you own the look.

My most luxurious experience: Flying in a private jet that had all its interiors in four-ply cashmere.

My most prized possession: My Hanut Singh ‘Third Eye’ diamond bracelet and gold shark tooth pendant.

Shop till I drop: That’s most likely to happen in Rome, Milan, London, Paris, NYC, Tokyo and Jaipur.
