Alia Bhatt is known for her fresh, cheerful and vibrant vibe—whether it’s her personal style or her personality, watching Bhatt portray herself through her bridalwear was absolutely refreshing. A true vision in ivory, Alia Bhatt has claimed the top spot when it comes to Bollywood brides. Decked in ace bridal couturier Sabyasachi’s outfit, Alia ditched the lehenga for an embroidered organza sari which truly felt like it was right out of our dreams.
And while the world (and us) went gaga over the bride and groom’s beautiful wedding looks, we discovered a few minor details that brought so much more meaning to Alia’s stunning wedding trousseau.
Here are some cute details that you might have missed from Alia’s bridal look.
Ditching the traditional heavily layered kaleera, Alia chose a design that is so unique and fresh. The bride’s kaleera had golden raindrops, falling from the clouds along with some birds, butterflies, stars, and an infinity sign.
The golden tilla embroidery was completely beautiful. Ethereal colours like white and gold aside, the blouse had baby’s breath flowers and butterflies embroidered all over it.
The veil or the pallu is one of the most sacred pieces of a bridal outfit. To commemorate the beautiful occasion, Bhatt’s veil had their wedding date, “The Fourteenth of April 2022” embroidered in beautiful cursive font.
Everyone who knows the couple knows the importance of the number ‘8’ and the ‘infinity symbol’ in their relationship. You can often spot Alia using the infinity emoji for the couple’s pictures on Instagram, as it resembles the number ‘8’, Ranbir’s favourite number. So, it was only fair to incorporate it into her mangalsutra. Keeping the main design classic with its black beads, the Highway star added the infinity symbol to the chain which is attached by an uncut diamond drop.
It’s safe to say that we are definitely adding this to our dream wedding mood board.
