HELLO! Recaps: Everything That Happened At Day 4 Of Lakmé Fashion Week 2022

One of the most-awaited events in the calendars of every fashion enthusiast in the country, Lakmé Fashion Week is back in its physical form in the post-pandemic world. Making its move from Mumbai to Delhi, the event opened big with a showcase at the Italian Embassy by designer Rahul Mishra, setting the tone for the exciting new launches to come. Designer Eshaa Amiin and Label Rahul Dasgupta started off Day 4 with their respective collections. Punit Balana unveiled his collection titled ‘Lakshmi’ with Janhvi Kapoor acting as his muse, followed by label Nirmooha’s parade of shimmery garments down the runway. Designer Ranna Gill showcased her take on summer florals and Ananya Modi Jain partnered with the NBA to unveil her basketball-inspired collection. Pankaj & Nidhi were inspired by the Spanish coastal town Marbella for their showcase. Veteran designer Suneet Verma sent down bold reds and blacks down the runway and Shivan & Narresh reminded us we’re overdue a beach holiday. Day 4 was concluded with Tarun Tahiliani’s luxurious showcase that amped up the glamour with actress Kirti Sanon as the showstopper.

Abundance of Colour

Designers Ranna Gill, Punit Balana, and Eshaa Amiin proved that the coming months are going to be dominated by an explosion of colours with their respective collections. From bold and vibrant shades to rich and deep hues, these designers have got you covered.

Cool Quotient

Designer Ananya Modi Jain partnered with the NBA to relive her days on the court and create a streetwear collection inspired by the game, the court, the New York skyline, and some of the iconic basketball teams over the years.

Understated Glamour

Pankaj and Nidhi showed us a glimpse of the wardrobe of our dreams at their runway showcase, with their trademark cutwork and intense surface embellishments, in the form of thread-edged silk organza petals and tuille work.

Star Spotting

Day 4 began with singer-songwriter-actress Manasi Scott walking the runway for Eshaa Amiin, Actress Janhvi Kapoor closed the show for Punit Balana, twirling down the runway in her deep red lehenga that, in her own words, was “the lightest lehenga” she’s ever worn. Dil Bechara actress Sanjana Sanghi turned showstopper for designers Pankaj and Nidhi while current reigning Miss UniverseHarnaaz Sandhu closed the show for Shivan & Narresh. Actress Kriti Sanon concluded the evening when she walked the runway for designer Tarun Tahiliani.

Luxurious Drapes

Designer Tarun Tahiliani showed everyone why he is one of the most celebrated designers of the country with his collection. The designer showcased his luxury pret collection, filled with modern and traditional silhouettes, fluid draping, and textile exploration.
