SRK & Aryan Khan Are Collaborating And We’re Excited

Bollywood’s beloved superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, is set to make his next on-screen appearance in a special project that hits close to home. The actor will be starring in an advertisement for D’Yavol, the luxury streetwear brand founded by his son, Aryan Khan. This also marks Aryan’s debut, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.

The teaser for the ad was recently released, featuring a mysterious shot of a paintbrush on the ground and Shah Rukh’s unmistakable presence briefly revealed towards the end. Fans are eagerly anticipating the full unveiling of this exciting collaboration between father and son.

The brand’s official page offers a sneak peek behind the scenes of this highly-anticipated collaboration, with a photo showcasing Aryan taking charge as director, intently reviewing footage on the monitor. Further cementing his involvement, Jr. Khan is also credited as the creative mind behind the ad’s concept. Proud father SRK shared the teaser on his social media platform and wrote in the caption, “X marks the spot. 24 hours to go. Follow @duavol.x for exclusive content.”

Some more behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot have been shared by D’Yavol to keep the excitement brewing. In their latest Instagram post, a silhouette of SRK is visible, with the actor’s features easily discernible. Donning casual attire and with his gaze focused on the ground, the photo adds to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming project.

In a previous interview, Aryan had spoken about the brand and his plans for it. He said, “As of now, we’re thinking of an apparel line that comes in March and it will be brought to the consumer by limited edition capsule collections, made available to them via drops on our web-store. As we go on from there, there will perhaps be more verticals.” Besides the ad, the star kid will be directing a web series, for which he is also credited as a screenwriter and showrunner.

Shah Rukh Khan, a few years back, had talked about his son’s career options on David Letterman’s show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. “He looks nice, he’s tall and…okay. But I don’t think he has what it takes perhaps and he realises that himself. But he is a good writer,” the actor said.

He added, “He came and said ‘I don’t think I want to act’. And his issue was, which I think is very practical and honest. He said, ‘Every time I’ll be compared to you. So if I do well, it will not be because I got skilled at this. It’ll be ‘oh obviously he’s his son, so he will do well’. It’s in the genes. And if I don’t do well, it’ll always be, look at him. What his father did and look at him. What is he doing? So he said ‘I don’t want to be in that kind of position’.”

Meanwhile, King Khan is now busy shooting for Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki and is awaiting the release of Atlee’s Jawan. Aryan’s sister Suhana Khan will soon be making her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film, The Archies.
