The South Indian superstar, Nayanthara, and her filmmaker husband, Vignesh Shivan welcomed twin baby boys via surrogacy. Shivan took to Instagram to share the joyous news with a heartwarming picture of the couple kissing their newborn babies’ feet.
In the post, he shared, “All Our prayers, our ancestors’ blessings combined wit all the good manifestations made, have come together in the form of 2 blessed babies for us.” Shivan later went on to share their names Uyir and Ulagam, with a cute caption, “Life looks brighter and more beautiful.” If you haven’t heard those names before it’s because their names are derived from Tamil words—Uvir means ife and Ulagam means world.
Fans and celebrities took to Shivan’s feed to congratulate the new parents and celebrate the news of the babies. The couple tied the knot earlier this year in June after dating for many years. Needless to say, they had a beautiful wedding ceremony in Mahabalipuram with India’s biggest actors and filmmakers present to bless the couple; social media was on fire when the pictures came out.
The Viswasam star is currently gearing up for her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale, which shows us a whole new side to the beloved “female superstar” of our generation. The documentary created a huge buzz on social media and will be releasing later this year on Netflix.
