Adele has added yet another award to her long list of achievements. The ‘Easy On Me’ singer just received her first ever Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special (pre-recorded) at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmys. The singer won the award for her CBS special, One Night Only, which was broadcasted in November 2021. The special had Adele singing some of her best hits as well as some songs from her recent album 30, while her fans, close friends, and some of the biggest celebrities joined her for one night only. The show which was recorded at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles also included an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Adele took to Instagram to share the news and a selfie where she can be seen holding her latest award as she lounges at home. She wrote, “Bloody hell I’m pleased as punch! Thank you @mrbenwinston for dropping this round to me this afternoon!! Trust me to officially have an EGO.”

Why an EGO you ask? Well, Adele has previously won about 15 Grammy Awards for her albums and an Oscar for her song, ‘Skyfall’ which was the theme song for the James Bond film by the same name. She has now won three out of the four major entertainment awards, which include an Emmy, a Grammy, and an Oscar, hence the big EGO. The only award she needs now is a Tony and then she’ll have an EGOT, a real achievement.
