Season three of Euphoria is going to be a real rollercoaster. We hear that one of our favourite characters of the show is bidding goodbye to her iconic role. Barbie Ferreira, who plays the role of Katherine “Kat” Hernandez isn’t going to be part of Season 3.
Taking to Instagram, the Euphoria star shared the news on her story, “After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye. I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today. I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you Katherine Hernandez.”
The news does come as a shock to most Euphoria fans since she’s played a key role in being a strong beacon of body positivity and sexuality in the show. Earlier this year, there were rumours that Ferreira had a falling out with the creator of the show, Sam Levinson, which also resulted in her storming out of set during the filming of season two. While Ferreira and HBO shut down the rumours, many think that it might be the reason behind the actor’s storyline in season two, where she was hardly seen in the show.
Ferreira is now gearing up for other projects and was recently seen in the 2020 film, Unpregnant. She also made an appearance in the horror film, Nope. But Euphoria won’t be the same Barbie!
