After eight long years, Cameron Diaz is all set to get back to the set for Netflix’s upcoming movie, Back In Action, directed by Seth Gordon. Diaz, who was last seen in Annie, had officially announced her retirement in 2018, sharing that she decided to stop making movies to focus on her family and her personal life. Now in 2022, the Charlie’s Angels star is all set to make her comeback alongside Jamie Foxx, with whom she has earlier shared screen space in Annie and the 1999 film, Any Given Sunday.

Recently, Foxx took to Twitter and Instagram to share the news of the actor’s comeback with an audio clip, in which Diaz can be heard talking about how excited but anxious she is about coming back to films. To help her out, the Project Power actor enlisted the help of NFL legend Tom Brady, who infamously announced his retirement only to change his mind a month later, to help Diaz “un-retire”.

In an interview, Cameron Diaz shared that she felt peaceful after leaving Hollywood. “Because I was finally taking care of myself… I just feel grounded and light,” she said. Since then, the In Her Shoes star has published two books and has also started an organic wine company, Avaline.

And while we love that Diaz got some much-deserved ‘me time’, we would be lying if we said we weren’t excited to see her on-screen again. What about you?
