One of the south Indian film industry’s biggest celebrity couples, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan finally tied the knot today in a beautiful ceremony in Mahabalipuram surrounded by their family and friends. Nayanthara, who is known for her tremendous contributions to the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industry, has been in a relationship with the actor-director since 2015. Shivan took to Instagram to share some of the beautiful moments from their dreamy wedding.

The couple looked blissfully happy as they shared a sweet moment during the ceremony.
For the wedding ceremony, Nayanthara donned a stunning handcrafted JADE sari in their signature vermillion red colour, which was custom designed by Monica Shah. The embroidery on the sari—reimagined motifs of goddess Lakshmi on the sleeves of the blouse, and the couple’s names embroidered on the wedding outfitis—was inspired by the temples of Hoysala.
The bride paired her sari with an emerald choker, a large polki tumble necklace along with a signature satlada by Goenka India. The look was completed with matching polki and Cabochon emerald studs and a diamond maang tikka.
The groom, Vignesh Shivan wore a classic ivory veshti, kurta, and shawl, handcrafted by JADE.
