Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan are reuniting for an upcoming film but, this time, the reunion will be behind the camera. Marking her debut as a producer alongside Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainmenr, Alia Bhatt-starrer Darlings is all set to release this year on Netflix. Bhatt’s production house, Eternal Sunshine is a joint venture between the star and her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. The Raazi actor will be starring alongside Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew in the dark comedy film. The movie revolves around a mother and daughter, who are fighting against all odds by trying to find their place in the city of dreams, Mumbai while trying to seek love and courage to make it through.
Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share the news of Darlings releasing on Netflix along with her co-stars. The film will be directed by Jasmeet K Reen, who will be making her feature directorial debut with Darlings. The movie will bring along two musical legends,Vishal Bharadwaj and Gulzar for the film’s music.
Alia Bhatt is also currently working on Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring alongside Ranveer Singh and is also part of one of the most anticipated films of the year, Brahmāstra, a fantasy film directed by Ayaan Mukerji co-starring Ranbir Kapoor.
