We know you’ve been getting up in the middle of the night, breaking into a cold sweat, wondering if you’ve somehow missed the news about whether or not the Masakali pigeon has been invited to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming wedding or not. Ok, so maybe we’re exaggerating a bit. About you getting wedding-fuelled nightmares, not Masakali being a celebrity in its own right. That pigeon worked its feathered a*s off in that song and its name deserves to be taken with respect.

Back to Alia and Ranbir.

Since the two are among the biggest celebrities in Bollywood currently, the buzz around their wedding is understandably high. Both the actors have been questioned repeatedly about wedding dates, venue details, and other wedding-related information, and while they have confirmed that they’re getting married soon, there’s still too much vagueness around it to give anyone in a healthy parasocial relationship with these celebrities a stress-induced migraine.

So to tick off our Daily Act Of Kindness (it was either this or 100 Squats A Day as a part of our 2022 New Year’s Resolutions, so you can see why kindness won), we decided to wade through all the information (and misinformation) on RanLia’s wedding and give you all the answers you didn’t know you needed…

Everything You Need To Know About Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt’s Wedding

When are Ranbir and Alia getting married?

Close sources to the family have, reportedly, confirmed that the couple is tying the knot on 17th of April. Back in 2020, Kapoor had confirmed that if the pandemic hadn’t hit the world when it did, they would have gotten married sooner. Now that COVID restrictions have been relaxed around the country, it’s safe to assume that a wedding would be high up on their list of priorities. So it’s safe to say you can mark 13-17th April off to fervently scroll Instagram for hopes of their wedding pictures being shared online.

Where will the couple get married?

Unlike many of their counterparts, Kapoor and Bhatt have apparently decided to hold their wedding in Mumbai itself. The couple is, reportedly, going to get married in an intimate wedding ceremony at the Kapoor family’s ancestral home, RK House, in Chembur, Mumbai. This is also where the future groom’s parents, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor, got married back in 1980.

What will the bride wear?

Are you even a celebrity bride if you don’t wear a Sabyasachi lehenga to your wedding? Guess we’ll never know a concrete answer to this question because Bhatt’s bridal wardrobe is going to comprise Sabyasachi and Manish Malhotra outfits.

Who all will attend their wedding?

While we’re not privy to the elusive Ranbir-Alia Wedding Journal (yet), it’s to be expected that their close family and friends, including Ayan Mukerji, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor will be in attendance. According to several reports, the actual wedding ceremony will be an intimate affair but a big reception would be held, towards the end of the month, for Bollywood insiders.

Since both the actors are busy with upcoming projects, Kapoor has Shamshera, a Luv Ranjan movie, and Animal with Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Bhatt has her big Hollywood debut to work on, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Ranveer Singh, they will be returning to work immediately following their wedding.

In case we do manage to get our hands on the aforementioned Wedding Journal, then we’ll update you on more details. Till then, we advise you to go back and watch Sonam Kapoor and Masakali battle it out for screen presence and charisma in the song ‘Masakali’ because it’s abundantly clear that you have a lot of free time on hand.
