How To Get Ana de Armas & Michelle Yeoh’s Sleek Blowout At Home

This year’s Golden Globes were exciting for many reasons. Not only did it pack big surprises in the form of RRR’s big win with ‘Naatu Naatu’, but it also gave us inspiration to try new beauty looks for the wedding season.
As expected, the celebrities turned up in their fineries to the red carpet and delivered stunning looks, like Jenna Ortega’s choppy lob or Emma D’Arcy’s bluish-purple emo goth look.
Everything Everywhere All At Once star Michelle Yeoh and Blondeactress Ana de Armas kept it timeless with a beautiful, sleek blowout that we usually spend hours recreating in front of our mirrors before giving up. But as it turns out, it’s not that difficult. All you need are the right tools and an expert’s guidance to look like you’ve stepped out of a salon every time you want a blowout.
This is why we got celebrity hairstylists, and Dyson’s Global Styling Ambassadors, Jenny Cho and Robert Vetica to spill how we can get the hairstyle like the beautiful actresses at home. Run, don’t walk to your nearest mirror and grab your styling equipment, we’ve got a blowout to conquer.

1) On towel-dried hair, prep the hair by misting a leave-in conditioner all over. “For a rainy day like this, this leave-in conditioner was the perfect prep spray to combat humidity,” said Cho. “I generously sprayed the leave-in conditioner focusing on mid-shaft through the ends to detangle, hydrate the strands, fight frizz and protect Ana’s hair from the heat.”
2) Part the hair in the centre with a tail comb, and blow out the hair with a dryer (Cho used a Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer professional edition) and a large round brush for a bouncy blowout. “I love how fast the Supersonic™ hair dryer dries the hair, leaving hair silky and shiny. The smoothing nozzle attachment is so precise. You have full control of the air and the heat flow,” said Cho.
3) Once the hair is completely dried, take an inch-thick section across the nape. Use a hair straightener to create a big loose bend and work your way up around the front of the hair.
4) Gently ran a drop of hair oil all over the waves to moisturise and block out frizz-causing humidity. Cho used Sol de Janeiro Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil. “The Brazil nut oil helps protect strands from breaking and the cupuaçu butter adds extra shine to finish the look,” she said.

1) To create a style that could keep up with the multi-faceted Everything Everywhere All At Once actress, Vetica started by prepping Michelle’s hair with a hair thickener to create subtle volume and movement.
2) Take a hair dryer and blow dry the hair after applying the thickener. Vettica used the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer professional edition with the Styling Concentrator attachment. “This combination helped give the hair bounce and shine, ensuring the look was dynamic and didn’t look too heavy or static.”
3) Concentrate on the low side part. The goal is to have the hair sleek and straight for the final look, so blow dry the hair in each section. Vetica sprayed the hair with heat protection and taming spray as he went, section by section, to ensure a smooth and shiny look.
4) After the hair is completely dry and the side-part placement was exactly where you want it, use a high-hold thickening spray, section by section.
5) Go over each section with a straightener to ensure perfect shine and you’re done!
