In a world where looking good equals feeling good, there’s little to stop people from going the extra mile. Each year, scores of adults pay visits to dermatologists and cosmetologists for various treatments — from lip fillers and botox, to facelifts and tummy tucks, besides such other concerns as hair loss and general worries that aren’t merely to look good for social media. These treatments are effective but don’t come at bargain prices — especially if one goes to the best in town. HELLO! lists six Indian supremos who have changed the game in the beauty industry.

Mention Dr Joshi in the UK, and his name will evoke praise. His commitment to his clients has made him one of the most well-known holistic health practitioners in the OG land of fish and chips. Since opening The Joshi Clinic in 2002, he’s been on call for people from across the globe. Starting his career as an osteopath, he shot to fame when he brought dancers at the Royal Ballet back to health from injuries with remarkable results. He also treated Princess Diana, with whom he shared a deep friendship. Dr. Joshi credits her with being the driving force behind his truly holistic approach to medicine. Along with his osteopothic medical training, he pursued his passion for holistic healtheare with training in nutrition, acupuncure, metabolic detox, and herbal and Ayurvedic medicine, which gives him an edge over his peers. The expert also retails his in-house detox plans and supplements for those looking to make a positive change in their lives.
Who: Dr Kiran Sethi
Where: Isya Aesthetics, New Delhi
Born and bred in New York though based in New Delhi, Dr Kiran Sethi is an integrative physician with both dermatology and cosmetic formulation degrees and experience. The founder of Isya Aesthetics, she’s certified by the American Board in Aesthetic Medicine as well as the American Board of Laser Surgery, with an additional qualification in cosmetic lasers. Her massive fan club isn’t just the result of her impressive qualifications, but the care she gives each patient. A global trainer and speaker for botox, fillers, laser treatments and more, she collaborates with speciality doctors from around the world, integrating alternative remedies with new technology. Dr Sethi’s been credited with bringing Pearl Powder to India, a natural supplement formulated from an ancient Ayurvedic remedy (it’s named Glow Dust at her clinic).
